Thomas Cook Airlines’ cabin crew have taken part in the 3rd annual OMG! Conference, Training and Awards event staged by the airline’s Inflight Retail partner Alpha LSG.
More than 200 members of cabin crew from the UK, Scandinavia, Germany and Belgium attended the event staged in The Cotswolds which revolved around workshops and seminars aimed at helping them achieve better commercial results and rewarding outstanding performance.
Alan Hayes, Alpha LSG’s Inflight Retail and Managed Services Director, hosted the awards evening and told the cabin crew that thanks to their efforts Thomas Cook Airlines had achieved record-breaking Inflight Retail sales results for the second consecutive year.
Mr Hayes (pictured right) said that the Inflight Retail teams of Alpha LSG and Thomas Cook had successfully collaborated on all aspects of the service including marketing, social media, crew communications and onboard merchandising.
He paid tribute to Thomas Cook’s Jan Sander Jakobsen, Head of Flight Sales & Air Shoppen, and Maggie Kennedy, Head of Cabin Crew UK, who he said work tirelessly behind the scenes to drive sales performance.
Deb Middleton, who is based at London-Gatwick, took the top prize of the night with the OMG! 2018 overall winner award. This recognises the person who excels constantly across all categories – High Spend per head, Incentive Participation, Positive Approach to Sales & Feedback, Commitment and Dedication to Onboard Sales.
Cabin Crew received awards across eight categories with Jemma Jeffery based at East Midlands taking the award for the Highest Average Spend Per-head.
